How To Produce A Music Festival

Festival promoters such as Paul Tollett (Coachella) and Kevin Lyman (Warped Tour) got their career start producing mini-music events before they ran behemoth festivals. How do you break in the festival business? And what's involved with producing an event? Our esteemed panel will share their experience producing small shows with a handful of bands to multi-day, multi-stage festivals.

How does the relationship work between producers, artists, A&R creatives and music licensing players to record music for the marketplace? Our panelists will share their experience working with UM's student-run Switchback Records to curate talent and produce cover recordings for the Elvis Presley catalog for film and tv licensing.

In addition to their manager, they employ a team that consists of a Booking Agent, Publicity/Marketing Director, Music Licensing Agent, Attorney and Social Media Specialist. We hand-selected a panel of professionals that will share how it's done.
